Confusing parts, explainedSpoilers

Contains spoilers about the ending.

Why doesn't Hank wear the suit himself?

He's older, and years of using it have taken a toll. He also doesn't want to put his daughter Hope in danger.

What happened to Hope's mother?

She was a hero alongside Hank, and shrank too far to stop a missile, vanishing into the Quantum Realm.

How did Scott get back from the Quantum Realm?

He used his growth disc and made it back just in time. This matters a lot in later films.

What's the final extra scene?

Steve and Sam talk about the captured Bucky, and Sam hints he knows a guy, Ant-Man, leading into Civil War.

Easy-to-miss details

Whenever Scott's friend Luis explains a tip, the story spirals off on tangents. A highlight every time.

The toy train

The final fight happens on a toy train set: epic at ant scale, adorable at normal size.

Young Hank with Peggy and Howard

The 1989 opening features Peggy Carter and Howard Stark.

Stan Lee's cameo

Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee appears as a bartender in one of Luis's stories.

The ending and post-creditsSpoilers
