Confusing parts, explainedSpoilers

Contains spoilers about the ending.

Why did Tony support the Accords?

He felt deeply responsible for the deaths in Sokovia in Age of Ultron and believed the Avengers needed limits.

Why did Steve refuse?

After Hydra turned out to be inside S.H.I.E.L.D. in The Winter Soldier, he doesn't trust that any institution will always do the right thing.

What was Zemo's goal?

Zemo lost his family in Sokovia. Knowing he couldn't defeat the Avengers from outside, he set out to make them tear each other apart.

Who was in the car in 1991?

Tony's parents, Howard and Maria Stark. Their deaths were thought to be an accident, but Bucky killed them.

Is Bucky to blame?

Hydra controlled his mind, so it wasn't his choice. Even so, it was impossible for Tony to accept.
