Right after Mysterio's video revealed Peter as Spider-Man, Peter flees through the city with MJ while reporters and helicopters swarm his home.
Peter, May, Ned and MJ are questioned by authorities. A lawyer gets the charges dropped, but public opinion is harsh.
Peter, MJ and Ned are all rejected by the college they wanted, because of the Spider-Man controversy.
Peter visits Doctor Strange and asks for a spell to make everyone forget he's Spider-Man.
Mid-spell, Peter keeps asking for exceptions: MJ, then Ned, then May. The spell goes haywire, and Strange shuts it down.
Heading to plead with the college, Peter is attacked on a highway by a man with mechanical arms, who says Peter isn't the Peter Parker he knows.
Strange explains that the spell drew in people from across the multiverse who know Spider-Man's identity, and asks Peter to round them up.
Electro, Sandman, the Lizard and Norman Osborn appear. Strange locks them in cells beneath the Sanctum.
Strange plans to send them home, but many of them are fated to die fighting Spider-Man there.
May tells Peter that helping people is who he is. He decides to cure the villains before sending them back.
Strange objects, and they battle in the Mirror Dimension. Peter outsmarts him, traps him and takes the box holding the spell.
At Happy's condo, Peter successfully fixes the device controlling Octavius's mind.
But Norman's monstrous other self, the Green Goblin, takes over and helps the others break free.
In the fight, the Green Goblin mortally wounds May. She tells Peter that with great power comes great responsibility, and dies.
Ned uses Strange's sling ring to look for Peter, and two Peter Parkers from other worlds step through.
The two other Peters share their own losses and help this Peter through his grief.
The three Peters work together to make cures for each villain.
The Peters lure the villains to the Statue of Liberty construction site and cure them one by one.
One of the other Peters catches the falling MJ, echoing someone he once failed to save.
Consumed by rage, Peter nearly kills the Goblin, but another Peter stops him. They cure Norman instead.
As the multiverse starts to crack, Peter asks Strange to make everyone forget Peter Parker entirely. He promises MJ and Ned he'll find them.
Days later, Peter visits MJ at her coffee shop but can't bring himself to tell her. He moves into a small apartment alone and keeps protecting the city in a homemade suit.
A man from another world chats with a bartender, then vanishes in a flash, leaving a bit of black goo behind.
